Kitchen Medicine

Cloves (Eugenia caryophyllus)

Cloves stimulate the circulation, improve digestion, expel wind and counteract nausea.
Above all though, Clove (and in particular clove oil) is known in dental care for its analgesic effect on the nerves.
It makes an excellent first aid treatment for toothache, though proper attention should follow this first aid remedy.
Too much clove oil can paralyze the nerves.
