Wrist Release

 

This wrist release exercise is good for the pronator muscles and the elbow joints.

This exercise helps in stretching your elbow, wrist and shoulder joints. It also helps in stretching and strengthening the muscles which supinate and pronate your hand, i.e. the muscles which turn the palm up and down.

The following are the steps :

  • You can perform this exercise by standing with your arms hanging down by your sides.
  • After this, straighten your elbows.
  • Then, turn your palms outwards and bend your hands back and stretch.
  • In this position hold for a count of 10 while you feel the stretch in your forearms and elbows.
  • Do this for 3 times and then relax your arms.
  • Now, try to straighten your elbows again, this time turning your palms inwards.
  • And also, curl your fingers and thumbs into loose fists.
  • Bend your wrists away from your body and stretch for a count of 10.
  • Do this for 3 times.
