Tension Neck

 

The following exercise help to stretch the muscles at the side and back of the neck which are the muscles that lift the shoulders and turn the neck.
Increased tension on these muscles will lead to a condition commonly called as 'tension neck'.
This exercise will maintains or increases the range of movement of the neck joints.

The steps are as follows :

1. Stand and place your left hand on the back of your neck.

2. Your left elbow should be pointed to the ceiling.

3. Drop your chin as though your chin touches the chest.

4. Turn your head to the right without lifting the chin.

5. Tilt your right ear to the right side and hold for a count of 10.

6. Relax for sometime.

7. Repeat the same on the other side also.
8. Do 3 times to each side.
