Gymnastics Tips and How-to's

Sideways Glance

This exrecise stretches the sternomastoid muscles which are at the front and sides of your neck.
This muscles have a tendency to shorten if habitually held in certain postures such as that involved in working with your head bent and turn to one side.
Shortening of these muscles contributes to the undesirable posture known as "poked neck".

This can be done as follows :

Sit and turn your head fully to the right.

In this position drop your head and try to put your chin on your shoulder.

You should feel the stretch in the right front of your neck while you hold for a slow count of 5.

Now, repeat the sequence, this time turning your head to the left.

Do this 3 times each side.
