Calf Lengthener


Calf lengthener exercise helps to keep the calf muscles, knee and ankle joints fit. Wearing high heeled shoes leads to the shortening of the calf muscles. These muscles can be stretched by this exercise. Also, it is useful in aiding ankle flexibility even if you do not wear high heeled shoes.

Steps :

  • Remove your shoes and stand.
  • Stand straight with both feet facing forward but with one behind the other.
  • By keeping the heel of the back foot on the ground and making sure you keep your back straight, lean forward on to your front leg.
  • Hold for a count of 10 while you feel a stretch in the calf of your back leg.
  • Now, change the legs and repeat.
  • Repeat this for 3 times with each leg.
